Reed organ bonnet --replacement tops With the death of Dale Murdy we do not offer this service at this time. We hope to offer it again in future when we find a craftsman capable of meeting our standards We all have shortsighted relatives who tossed out or burned the decorative top for our beloved reed organ. The likelihood of our finding an exact replacement is almost nil. The possibility of finding one that will fit is even less likely. However if you could build one to match the organ it would look so much better. That is what we thought, so.... We are now designing a simple and a more complex generic reed organ top to fit most organs with minor adjustment. This is not a do it yourself project, but a design we can build and alter slightly as built to fit various organs. If you want to see one we built click here. This organ top (finished to match) cost the customer around $1,800.00 just to give you a ballpark for the fancy top reconstruction.
