New leather and Reassembly New leather facings are cut and installed. The bottom valve is glued and the top one is put in without glue. There is meticulous regulation of valve travel by way of depth gauge micrometer and the top valve will have spacer papers under it to regulate it. The red ring is a fiber donut that holds the top valve seat down.
The reassembled and sealed box is painted black like the factory did.
Once reassembled, regulated, painted, tested and new breather felt is installed, all the nipples and tubing is returned and sealed with plastic glue.
