Simplex unit pneumatic system
This is some of the units before any work:

This is an attempt to show some of the stages of restoration. The one standing at the left is original untouched, the one in center and the one at right have been restored and recovered. The center one is without valve and top seat. Below is one in pieces and to the right of that a pouch has been reinstalled. More pics are to come as time permits.

After opening and washing with our hot water technique. The unit pneumatics are spread out to dry without laying flat this allows air to circulate all pieces. Though it looks haphazard, the tops and bottoms all stay together with the one they were glued to. This technique allows the original shape to be kept with no belt sanding. The only sanding is after washing. When dry each piece is sanded 3-4 licks on glass. On the above pic you notice that the just opened pouch board is missing an indention to the left of the pouch. This was originally found on later Recordo simplex systems. We now add it to every Simplex pouch board because it allows more air volume and helps allow for softer playing.

More to come
The Simplex Bellows are also important so until I have a page for the whole project, here they are Restored, replated, refinished.
